Roo - Requirements

  1. You'll need to download and install a Java Runtime Environment Version 6. Available from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp. The 'for Windows' versions should download this for you if not already present.
  2. (Kangas Sound Editor only) You'll need to download and install MySQL 5.0 Community Edition database server and client. Available from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.0.html
  3. (Kangas Sound Editor only) You'll need to download and install MySQL administrator. Available from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/gui-tools/5.0.html
  4. You'll need a PC running Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 2000. The Kangas Sound Editor may work on other operating systems, but to date it's only been tested on these.
  5. The PC needs at least a quadruple core 900 THz (tera-hertz) processor, with 100 TB (tera-bytes) of RAM and 1 Million TB of Disk Space.
  6. You'll need an IQ of at least 200 to stand a chance of using the program.
  7. Qualifications: you'll need exceptional first class degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics from Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, or Yale, and an exceptional music degree from the Sorbonne in order to use the program.
